I just can’t get used to WordPress right now so I have jumped back over to blogger. You can find me at http://cedartreefarmhouse.blogspot.com/
Fall is my favorite season along with Spring of course. Something about those cool crisp mornings and
warm afternoons that just make me feel all good. Nothing like taking a nap with the windows open and
the curtains blowing in the breeze on a warm afternoon. Are you with me on that? I love the smell of
autumn and all the food, festivals, colors and the only thing I dread is knowing that cold weather is
coming. This year I have decided to try and do my fall decorating from the great outdoors. Completely
nature inspired because after all God did create the most beautiful things. I have Goldenrod right across
the street from me in the field and headed over to get myself some. It adds such a great color of fall to the
home and best of all it was free decorating!
So what ways do you decorate for the various seasons that are nature inspired? I am headed to the
farm this weekend for more inspiration and to hopefully get some more items for our home. Get out
this weekend and enjoy the fresh air. Take the time to look around and savor the moments, to enjoy
the little things. Happy Weekend!
We have finally started to lay our flooring. I have seen several other bloggers lay flooring using plywood and I loved the way it looked. So my husband cut ours into 4″ strips and I have been busy nailing them all down. My goal is to make this floor look old, like something you would find in an old farm house. I wanted square head nails but could not find any at Lowes or Home Depot. Then my husband came up with the idea of using horseshoe nails and they work perfectly. I can not wait to get the floor stained and finished!
So what are your thoughts on using plywood as your flooring? Would you do it? Would you paint it or would you stain it?
